A Birthday Wish for Peggy ....

Hi there!

Today, besides the Royal Wedding, is a special day for the Boss Lady at PaperWorksCo Peggy.  IT'S HER BIRTHDAY .... and in honour of the occasion the PWCO DT has put together a special birthday blog hop!  So, without further ado .... HAPPY BIRTHDAY PEGGY .... hope you have a wonderful day and enjoy this special blog hop that we've put together for you!  You should have come by way of Carisa's blog or you may want to start back at the PWCO blog here.

I've been inspired recently by the gorgeous white cards that are around and about in blogland with the coloured image taking the main focus.  With this in mind, I coloured up this very cute RAM birthday image from PWCO's RAM collection of stamps!  I used copics to colour it up.  Embossed panels, ribbon, prima  flower and Viva liquid pearl finish off the card.

Here's the order of the blog hop:-

PWCO Blog
Alice
Bella
Cabio
Carisa
Danielle ------>  YOU ARE HERE!

Stephanie

Now you get to hop on over to the lovely Kerri's blog!  Thanks for stopping by today and helping us celebrate Peggy's birthday!  And congratulations to William & Kate on their wedding day ... I was up at 5am watching all the festivities ... and my Union Jack is flying proudly outside my house today!  Have a great Friday everyone!

Happy Easter!

Hello!

A Happy Easter to you all!  Today I have my PaperWorksCo Sunday Sketch card to share with you and I thought we should have a visit from the Easter Bunny!

I've used the sweet RAM VD Bunny image and altered it slightly by having her hold an egg in her paws!  Loved this weeks sketch from Bella as it was nice and simple which in my book means quick & easy!!  The image is coloured with copics and I've used these lovely purple colours and paper.

Well, I won't ramble today as the Easter Bunny will be visiting my house and the boys will be eager to do the egg hunt!  I hope you all enjoy a wonderful Easter and have many treasured moments and memories with your family!

Thanks for visiting and don't forget to play along this week with Sunday Sketch at PWCO!  This is my last week doing sketches but May will bring more crafty goodness!

Hugs,

2 Cute to blog hop for PaperWorksCo??? Come and see ....

Welcome to our blog hop today where PaperWorksCo is releasing a gorgeous new set of stamps - THE CUTIE PATOOTIE COLLECTION!

There's a clue in the title of this post as to the new artist on board .... she is none other than Heidi from '2 Cute Stamps'!!  Toooooo cute is definitely right!  You will not be disappointed with these 'cutie patooties' on the blog hop.  You should have arrived here by way of Cabio but in case you haven't you will want to start back here at Peggy's blog so you don't miss any of the cuteness!

First up I have 'Up, Up and Away' ... this mouse is having a jolly old time flying his kite ... or as the case may be the kite flying him, LOL!  Image is coloured with copics and the gorgeous papers are Echo Park.  The ribbon is seam binding which I coloured co-ordinated with a BG13 copic pen .... love doing that!  The twine, stitching and punched borders add the final touches. I also added some stickles to give some sparkle to the kite ... I was imagining it catching lots of sunshine flying up so high!

This second card uses the stamp 'Swimmingly Yours'.  OMGosh, these mice are such fun to colour and their smiles are so endearing ... did I already say how much I LOVE THEM!!!  Again, I coloured with copics and cut the image out.  My concept for this card was I wanted the mouse to appear as if he's in the water.  What I came up with was some grosgrain ribbon which I ruffled up and ran through the sewing machine.  The ruffles create the illusion of 'waves' on the shore and I pierced a hole in the organza ribbon which I slipped the cut image through.  He is now in the water ... head out and body in!  What do ya think ... did the effect work?  The cloud paper and the 'summer' border is again Echo Park.  The punched beach borders add a final touch to the card.

Thanks for hopping with us today!  I know you'll just love what's coming next on Alice's blog so hop on over and continue to enjoy!  Should you get lost the order of the blog hop is here:-

Gordie the Giraffe ...

Hi there!

Another crazy week with no postings which I apologise for!  I have my card for the Sunday Sketch challenge over at PaperWorksCo.  I really liked the simple lines of this sketch and have kept my card pretty clean and simple too.  I needed a baby girl card for I decided to pull out Gordie the Giraffe from the 'Safari Friends' collection and colour her in pink!  Too funny ... Jacob (my 5 yr old) saw the card after I made it and quite plainly turned around and said, 'Mommy, giraffe's aren't pink!!'  Mmmm, I guess he still needs to learn the lesson of artistic license!!!

Gordie is coloured with copics (R81,83,85,89).  I love this embossed cardstock - it looks so pretty with the pink and the stitching.

That's all for today folks.  I've been working on some new release images for PaperWorksCo which are due to be released next Friday (April 22nd).  What can I say other than super duper CUTE!!  I can't wait for you all to see them .... we'll be blog hopping so I hope you can join us!  More details to follow ...

Thanks for stopping in today.  I really appreciate your visit and any kind comments you leave!

A Whale'n Great Time!

Hello everyone!

I have another Sunday Sketch challenge for you from PaperWorksCo today.  Bella's sketch really got me thinking for this week and I knew I wanted to play with my new Tim Holtz 'film reel' die cut.  I pulled out these really fun fishy papers from Doodlebug too and based my card around that.  As my time has been somewhat limited lately I needed to do a quick card and I'm very happy to say this came together in about that time.

I love the quick & easy types of cards ... good for building up your stash too!  I used a Fiskars punch for the waves and a copic (B24) with airbrush and cloud template to create the sky.  The sentiment is one that comes with the set of Aqua Amigos from PWCO - of which Wallie the Whale is a part of.  I hope you can join us over at PWCO for this weeks sketch challenge ... I`d love to see your take on this sketch!

This is a quick post today as I have my hubby home for just 24hrs before he flies off to Paris ... I know, this is how crazy my life is right now!!  Thanks for stopping by .. your visits are always appreciated!

Joyful Easter Greetings ....

Hi there!

I can't believe we're already at the end of another week and my days have passed by with so little crafting time!  I do, however, have this sweet little Tilda Easter card for you today.  I vowed I would find some time and I managed to get this done.

Tilda is coloured with copics and trimmed out.  Papers are from the BG 'Eva' pad, flowers are WOC, sentiment is Alota stamps and the seam binding I found in Wal-Mart!  Pearls and pin and other embellishments are from my stash.  I even pulled out the sewing machine for this one ... the sewing really does add such a beautiful touch.

I'm going to enter this card into the following challenges:-

Just Magnolia - Sketch
Paper Sundaes - Spring Blossoms
Simon Says Stamp - Spring colours/Easter
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes

Thanks for popping by my blog today ... your visit really is greatly appreciated and I thank you for all your beautiful comments!  Have a wonderful start to the weekend ... I'm super excited as hubby comes home tomorrow (alebit only for 24 hrs before he heads off to Paris) and the temperatures are soaring up to 17oc!!

Hugs,

'Owl Always Love You'

Hi there!

Welcome to my PaperWorksCo posting today ... I am scheduled in for the Sunday Sketches for the month of April which I'm super excited about!  Bella does the most amazing sketches so if you're looking for some sketch inspiration why don't  you head on over to the PWCO blog.

As soon as I saw this sketch I had a vision in my head ... and for once it actually turned out, lol!!!  I coloured up these super cute owls (RAM 'Whoo Loves You) with copics and have used the Cosmo Cricket paper line 'Earth Love'.  I created the tree trunk myself and cut out leaves to glue on the top.  The sentiment is from my own stash but this stamp does come with its own.

I'm also entering this card into the challenge over at Cute Card Thursday where this week they're asking for 'couples'.  And I have to say how devastated I was to read that Claudia has had to close down Friday Sketchers ... that really was one of my most favourite challenges and will be terribly missed.

Having said that, if you're in need of a sketch make sure you pop over to PWCO and join in with our sketch challenge fun every Sunday!  We love to see you there ....

Thanks for coming by today and visiting me.  I appreciate your every visit and thank you for the lovely comments you leave.  See you again soon!

Hugs,
Danielle x
